Konrad Motorsport on the grid with Ligier

Franz Konrad founded Konrad Motorsport in Verl in 1976. Born in Austria, he can be described as a living legend of motorsport. As a driver, Konrad won the German Formula 3 Championship, the Nürburgring 24 Hours and the European GT Championship. He also achieved numerous race wins and title victories with his team.

Konrad Motorsport has been competing in LMP3 racing since 2022. In 2022 and 2023, the team competed in the Prototype Cup Germany with the Ginetta G61-LT-P3, but with the vulnerable vehicle it had almost no chance against the French competition. The team will now switch to the Ligier JSP320 for the 2024 season.

Konrad Motorsport will compete in the Prototype Winter Series and gain further experience with the successful French car. Konrad Motorsport regular driver Danny Soufi and team owner Franz Konrad, who despite his age of 72 continues to climb into the cockpit himself, will drive the car at the season opener on the former Estoril Grand Prix circuit.
