Danny Soufi travels to Barcelona as championship leader

Will American racer Danny Soufi be crowned champion in the debut season of the Prototype Winter Series? After three of four race weekends, he leads the overall standings in the Ligier JS P320 from Konrad Motorsport. He has won three of the six races on the race weekends so far, including a double win alongside Glenn van Berlo at the last race weekend at Motorland Aragon.

Soufi has a comfortable lead of 11.21 points over the Rinaldi Racing duo of Daniel Keilwitz and Steve Parrow. This means that Soufi can seal the deal in Saturday’s race and be crowned champion of the Prototype Winter Series. For Soufi, winning the title in the GEDLICH Racing series would be the biggest triumph so far in his still relatively young racing career.

Julien Lemoine/Clément Moreno (ANS Motorsport, 24.89 points), Kevin Rabin (ANS Motorsport, 22.5 points) and Laurents Hörr (DKR Engineering, 20.715 points) also have a mathematical chance of winning the title.
